Delete your account

Last updated 3 October 2026

BLML is a chat app built and run by Hung Ngo. This page explains how to delete your BLML account on the server at chat.blml.app, and what happens to your data.

Delete it yourself, in the app

This is the fastest way and takes effect immediately.

  1. Open BLML and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → Security (on iPhone: Settings → Account and Security).
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Deleting an account cannot be undone.

Or ask by email

If you cannot sign in, email hungnv26@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my BLML account”. Include your BLML username, or the phone number or email address on the account, so the right account can be found. You may be asked to confirm that the account is yours. Requests are completed within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your account: username, password record, display name and profile picture.
  • The phone number and email address on the account.
  • Your contact list, chat list, blocked list and settings.
  • Groups and channels you own, with all the messages and files in them.
  • The notification tokens for your devices.

What is kept

  • Messages you sent to other people, and in groups owned by someone else, stay in those conversations for the people who received them. They are no longer linked to a name or profile. The other person, or the group’s owner, can delete them.
  • Server backups may hold a copy of your data for up to 14 days before they rotate out.
  • Basic technical logs (connection times and IP addresses) are kept briefly and then discarded.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You can delete individual messages or a whole conversation, and change your name and profile picture, from inside the app at any time. For anything else, write to hungnv26@gmail.com.
