Good morning, everyone — and welcome.
Over the next ten minutes I want to show you something we have been building quietly for the better part of a year. Not a roadmap. Not a mockup. The actual thing, running.
But before the demo, let me tell you why we started.
Last spring we sat down with forty of our customers and asked a single question: what part of your day do you dread?
We expected to hear about pricing, or integrations, or the mobile app. Instead, almost every one of them described the same twenty minutes — the twenty minutes before a presentation, spent fighting their own tools.
That is the problem we set out to solve. Everything you are about to see follows from it.
It does one thing well.
Most teleprompter apps are web wrappers with an account attached. This one is native, precise, and quiet.
Speed you can name
Scrolling is measured in points per second, 10 to 300, from a slider, ten-point steps, or the keyboard. Every change eases in over a third of a second, so the text never jumps under your eye.
Built for mirror rigs
Flip the text horizontally, vertically, or rotate to any right angle — mid-playback, without stopping. The controls stay the right way round while the glass reads your script.
A reading view for your eyes
Five typefaces, 20 to 120 point, adjustable line spacing and margins, eight colour pairs. White on black by default, the standard for beam-splitter glass.
Scripts that look after themselves
Write or paste, sort into folders, search titles and content as you type. Every edit saves itself — there is no Save button. Word count and reading time on every script.
Hands on the keyboard
With a hardware keyboard: space to play or pause, arrow keys for speed, escape to leave. Nothing to learn twice.
Nothing leaves the device
No account, no cloud, no network calls at all. No ads, no analytics, no subscription. Your scripts are yours; the source is on GitHub under MIT if you want to check.
Privacy, in one line
eTeleprompter makes no network requests. It collects nothing, sends nothing, and has no account to create. Scripts are stored on your device only. Privacy policy.

I record talks and got tired of teleprompters that wanted a subscription to scroll text. So I wrote one, in SwiftUI, and kept it small. Questions, bugs, or a rig it doesn’t suit yet: open an issue or write to me.
